After six seasons, the beloved prequel series Young Sheldon is coming to an end. The series finale will air on Thursday, May 16th, 2023, on CBS.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Steve Molaro teased what fans can expect from the final episodes. "We're going to see Sheldon and the rest of the Coopers navigate some big changes in their lives," he said. "There will be laughter, tears, and everything in between."
One of the biggest changes for Sheldon will be the departure of his beloved Meemaw. "Meemaw has been a constant in Sheldon's life," Molaro said. "Losing her will be a huge turning point for him."
Despite the bittersweet ending, Molaro promised that fans will be satisfied with the series finale. "We've given the characters a fitting send-off," he said. "I think fans will be happy with the way it all wraps up."
